What It’s Like to Build With Viking
1. Discovery Call
Every project starts with a conversation. We’ll talk through your goals, timeline, design needs, and budget range to see if we’re the right fit. No pressure — just good questions and honest answers.
2. Site Visit & Consultation
We’ll walk the space, take notes, and dive into the scope in more detail. This helps us understand existing conditions and capture the vision accurately.
3. Preconstruction & Estimate
Based on your scope and specs, we’ll prepare a detailed cost estimate and project outline. If you’re early in design, we’ll help develop a budget you can build from and loop in our architect and designer — or collaborate with your architect or designer to do so.
Optional:
For larger or more complex projects, we offer a paid Pre-Construction Services Agreement to cover feasibility research, permit readiness, and design collaboration.
4. Contract & Scheduling
Once the budget and scope are aligned, we’ll execute a construction agreement, finalize your schedule, and lock in your project start date. At this point, we’ll also outline expectations for communication, selections, and jobsite access.
5. Construction Begins
This is where the magic happens. Our crew shows up on time, keeps a clean site, and delivers consistent progress. You’ll receive regular updates, site photos, and walkthroughs at key stages. We don’t disappear — we stay hands-on until the final detail is dialed in.
6. Punch List & Project Wrap
Once major work is complete, we walk the project with you and create a detailed punch list. Final touch-ups are completed promptly, and we hand over a clean, polished space — built to last.
